Pre Seed

We target companies that are right at the onset of their entrepreneurial journey. At this stage, startups may be in the ideation, testing phase, or launching their first Minimum Viable Product (MVP), often pre-revenue in their primary market. The focus is on validating the proof of concept.

Seed

During seed stage, the StartUp is generating first revenues within their addressed target market. Investments are usually used to get your first employees on board, invest into marketing for your brand and optimization on your products/services and your business model. The proof of concept is validated and proof of business becomes clear through first revenues.

Series A

StartUps pitching a series A round have a clear proof of business. Core products or services are generating consistently growing revenues and build the base for additional business segments. Investments are used for product portfolio depth/width or targeting new national or international market segments.

Exit-driven or long-term growth strategy? We prefer the latter, but keep an open mind to exit opportunities. To generate long-term growth, more than one funding round is highly likely. Therefor, potential follow up investments into our portfolio partners is an essential key pillar in our investment strategy.

FAQ

As an early stage investor, we invest at all 3 early stages Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A, but have a slight focus on Seed investments.

Idealy we start a conversation 4-6 month ahead of your desired closing date, but depending on your preparation we can move significantly faster than that. Depending on what stage you are in and if we are one of the first investors you talk to, we also take on the role as lead investor in giving guidance to you during the auditing process and consolidating results for other investors.

It depends highly on the stage and company valuation, but for us as an early stage investor ticket size for Pre Seed and Seed range between 50.000-500.000 € as an initial investment. Series A tickets are starting around 500.000 €.

Yes, right now we have a strict focus on StartUps legally located in Germany for our private placement deals.

We invest in both, B2C and B2B or hybrid models.

As a relatively young vehicle, we do not have a specific industry focus or verticle, yet. As long as you have a disruptive and profound business idea, we see it as a viable investment opportunity. If you set yourself in a very specific niche, we usually work with external experts of your field to gain destinctive insight of your market. In these cases it’s import for us, to grasp the bigger picture of your business idea and see the proof of concept in your Pitch.

Depending on your time line and clarity of cataloge assets we can move quite quickly if necessary or help out with a bridge.

Usually, we act as a strategic sparring partner and StartUp mentor for the C-level and mid-level management. On top we offer a broad variety of consulting services, if more guidance or intensive strategic acceleration is deemd necessary.
